Giving a taste for science
The Institute’s educational and scientific mediation activities for schoolchildren and secondary school students take many forms: laboratory visits, “Masterclass” discovery days, teacher training, loan of cosmic ray detectors in classrooms, teaching aids, exhibitions.
The laboratory is supported by the rectorate of Calvados to set up conferences in high schools and participate in the “apprentice researchers” action organized by the “Arbre des connaissances”.
With the University, we propose the Ecolyscience meeting.

General public
The laboratory has participated for many years in regional events for the general public.
The science festival (FDS), the festival of excellence in Normandy (FENO).
We are also present at the Forums des métiers as well as at the scientific and technical culture meetings “Ecolysciences” organized by the Academy of Caen.

We offer high schools visits of the laboratory as well as GRES conferences.
Finally, for middle school students, we welcome “apprentice researchers” in our laboratory. This program is organized by the “Arbre des connaissances”.
